Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid Launched at Rs. 1.45 Lakh

India Yamaha Motor has launched the 2025 model of its best-selling motorcycle, the FZ-S Fi Hybrid, at ₹1,44,800 (ex-showroom). The launch is a major one as it brings hybrid technology to the 150cc motorcycle space in India, combining innovative features with Yamaha’s distinctive design and performance.

Striking Design and Color Options

The 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid maintains its aggressive and muscular stance, now augmented with more aggressive styling cues. A new tank cover and built-in front turn signals in the air intake space add to a contemporary and aerodynamic appearance. The bike comes in two bright colors: Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Grey.

Advanced Hybrid Powertrain

At the heart of the FZ-S Fi Hybrid lies a 149cc Blue Core engine, now compliant with OBD-2B standards. This engine is equipped with Yamaha’s Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and Stop & Start System (SSS), technologies that ensure quieter starts, battery-assisted acceleration, and improved fuel efficiency by automatically shutting off the engine at idle and restarting it with a quick clutch action.

Enhanced Rider Connectivity and Comfort

The new FZ-S Fi Hybrid comes with a 4.2-inch full-color TFT instrument cluster that integrates easily with smartphones through the Y-Connect app. The system provides Turn-by-Turn (TBT) navigation connected to Google Maps with real-time directions, intersection information, and road names for an easy riding experience.

Yamaha has also positioned the handlebar more comfortably for long rides and moved the switches on the handlebar for easier access, even while wearing gloves. The horn switch has been moved to make it easier to use, and the fuel tank comes with an airplane-type fuel cap that stays attached during refilling, making it more practical.

Yamaha’s Commitment to Innovation

Addressing the launch, Chairman Yamaha Motor India Group, Itaru Otani, underlined the importance of FZ as a brand in Yamaha’s history in India. He pointed out that by bringing hybrid technology into this segment, Yamaha is taking performance higher and reaffirming its commitment to introducing forward-looking, rider-centric innovations. The launch underlines Yamaha’s passion for innovation where cutting-edge technology and rider-inspired design unite to create the future of mobility.

Conclusion

The 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid creates a new standard for the 150cc motorcycle class by combining hybrid technology with contemporary design and advanced features. Offered at a competitive price of ₹1,44,800, it provides riders with an improved and efficient riding experience that lives up to Yamaha’s heritage of performance and innovation.
